Robot Series

 

 

The Robot Series is a project I've been wanting to work on for some time now. The purpose of this series is to raise awareness of the impact we are making on our environment and planet. My idea for this project is to show robots made up from scrap materials that either represent destruction or modern day smart devices that have changed how we comunicate with one another. For instance, the image here, a missile is used as the robots head representing destruction while the body consists of a scrap fuel tank which obviously is associated to fossel fuels, emissions and its toll on the environment and our progressing global warming crisis.

 

Yet, the facination on the robots face from seeing a butterfly land in its hand, something natural, organic, and beautiful. Something we take for granted now.

 

I have many sketches already to start the series, just need the time now. It will be coming though, so please follow up.
